Leadership Crisis Challenge
March 23 - March 24
This program prepares you to lead in high-pressure, high-stakes environments. You engage with crisis management experts, receive specialty training, and compete in a qualifying-round contest. In the final round — a 24-hour crisis simulation — you test your ability to strategize through extreme turbulence, think on your feet, and demonstrate poise under pressure. Along the way, you receive personalized feedback from business leaders, communication coaches, and faculty experts.
More specifically, Crisis Challenge is a simulation where students play the role of a leadership team in the midst of a crisis. During the course of the event, time releases change the dynamics of the situation and force students to react based on new developments. On the second day, they will present their final strategy to a board of directors and face a demanding final round held at the Big House where the winning team will receive a $3,000 scholarship and two runner-up teams will win $1,000. This program is intended to teach students to navigate ambiguity, work in multidisciplinary teams, perform under pressure, and exercise good judgment.
