optiMize – Nathan J. Robinson: How to Get Media Traction for your Ideas

January 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Nathan J. Robinson is the founder and editor of Current Affairs, a magazine of politics and culture. Since launching in 2015, Current Affairs has achieved print circulation in all 50 US states and 25 countries, racked up 90,000 Facebook likes, and grown in revenue from $10,000 in 2015 to $300,000 in 2018. In addition to their print and digital editions, Current Affairs hosts a popular podcast and has produced video content that’s drawn hundreds of thousands of views. Nathan has also written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Guardian, and is the author of 6 political books and 6 children’s books.

In this interactive workshop, Nathan will tell us how he’s gotten so much traction for his ideas and teach us how to get our ideas published and promoted.

Whether you’re interested in going into journalism, starting a new media venture, or just getting traction with existing media outlets for your ideas and organizations — this workshop is for you.

The session is open to all and will begin at 7:10pm and conclude promptly by 9:00pm. Pens , supplies, and pizza will be provided!
