June 16, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)
Third Thursday of the Month

About the Forum:

This is where the results of the entrepreneur’s and coaching team’s hard work is presented to our audience. Listen carefully and see if you think their business opportunity will be successful.

The Forum meetings are also a great place to network with entrepreneurs, NEF business coaches, investors, and students who are passionate in promoting entrepreneurialism. Discuss your idea with the experts and get valuable feedback. Collaborate with other like-minded professionals. Stay current in new and developing technologies.

  • The 3rd Thursday of each month (Except: July – often shifted one week to avoid conflicting with Art Fairs, and August and December – no meeting).
  • Registration starts at 5:00 pm and the program begins at 5:45 pm
  • Forum meetings are free to attend and no advance registration is required

  • SPARK Central, located at 330 East Liberty, lower level, Ann Arbor, MI 48104
  • Double check the Events page as some Forums will be held in conjunction with other entrepreneurial organizations to add even more value.

Our meetings typically follow the same agenda:

  • Registration, networking and refreshments.
  • Brief openign remarks from the NEF President, typically focused on happenings in the entrepreneurial community.
  • A Showcase Presentation from an entrepreneur who has been coached by NEF, followed by Q&A.
  • Open forum during which time the microphone is passed around and each person can briefly (15 seconds max!) tell about their company’s product/service and needs.
  • Program portion, which will alternate between
    • Pitch Pit (New!) :Before you spend your grandmother’s money on it, find out if your idea has substance. Four entrepreneurs give a four-minute pitch to a panel of judges to win a cash prize. The audience gets to select their favorite pitch for a bragging rights award. Join in the fun.
    • Panel of Experts: Relevant topics are debated through a Q&A format to inform the audience. Don’t be shy, roll up your sleeves and challenge the panel by asking your own questions about the topic. There are no stupid questions, but there are plenty of funny answers.
